Historic Pella Trust Receives $15,000 Grant from Pella Corp. to Help Fund Tuttle Learning Walk

Historic Pella Trust representatives Bob Zylstra, Jennifer Van Kooten and Bruce Boertje receive the grant award from Pella Corporation’s Katie Miller.

The Historic Pella Trust is honored to receive a Rolscreen Foundation Grant of $15,000 provided through the generosity of Pella Corporation. This award will help fund the Tuttle Learning Walk, a joint project between the Historic Pella Trust and the City of Pella. The scenic walkway will connect north Pella’s historic Tuttle Cabin, located at 608 Lincoln Street, with beautiful Sunken Garden Park. This learning walk will feature both native plantings and signage detailing history of early Pella, its founders and predecessors.

The Historic Pella Trust has committed to funding the entire cost of the walkway, estimated to be $195,000. After completion the City of Pella will assume maintenance and care of the attraction. To date 70% of the funding has been secured. You are invited to help the Trust complete its fundraising goal by making a tax-deductible donation online at: HistoricPellaTrust.org, or mailing it to: Historic Pella Trust; P.O. Box 1; Pella, Iowa 50219. Construction is scheduled to begin this spring.
